Reasons to go on exchange
There are many different reasons for students to go on an exchange program. Our past exchange students provide a few insights gained from their exchange experiences:
"The exchange experience has broadened my perspective on life and made me much more likely to venture overseas again for either study and/or work (or pleasure). It has enhanced my technical knowledge of science and given me contacts in other universities."
Lloyd Williams
"I had the opportunity to create invaluable friendships with other international students, network with both peers and seniors in my field of expertise, and additionally become exposed to an alternative approach to studies."
Slave Petrovski
Information sessions
The first step to take when considering an overseas exchange is to attend a general exchange information session. Students should then attend science information sessions.
General information sessions
Melbourne Global Mobility staff will discuss aspects of going on exchange and explain the application process.
Science information sessions
The Faculty of Science runs two information lectures each semester. Details for the sessions will be included in the News for Science students newsletter.
