Majors
A science major is generally defined as 50 prescribed points in an approved scientific discipline at the third year level.
In general, first year level subjects need to be completed before moving to second level subjects, and the first and second level subjects need to completed before moving to third year level subjects.
Note: Exceptions to this definition of a major exists in the 755BB : Bachelor of Science course. This is outlined in the link provided (under 'Stream Structure').
- Continuing degree students - students who commenced a science course before 2008
- New generation degree students - students who commenced a science course from 2008 (including 2008)
